Yours truly, Robert Redford and the Salt Lake Tribune movie critic (at the time) Terry Orme at a filmmakers' brunch during the 1985 Sundance Film Festival.

Interviewing celebrities comes with the territory for entertainment writers. Even when you're on a very low rung, which Salt Lake City certainly is, movie stars, filmmakers, authors, musicians, etc., are often made available to hawk their latest wares, either by phone or in person at a gathering place such as New York or Los Angeles, and sometimes they actually come through town. Although the interviews here were conducted years ago, they are, I hope, still relevant and interesting. This section also includes profiles of certain stars, written on the occasion of their passing, or for other reasons, such as Gene Hackman announcing his retirement.
