For its June "Classic Series," Cinemark is saluting Steven Spielberg with four films on the big screen. The first is "Jaws," followed by "Raiders of the Lost Ark," "E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial" and "Schindler's List." Here is the website, which includes a brief trailer of this series.

The Cinemark movie-theater chain has been showing vintage classics on its screens for a couple of years now in an irregular series that isn't very well advertised locally but which apparently does enough business to warrant its continuation. Highlights last year included "Lawrence of Arabia," "Casablanca" and "Young Frankenstein."

In fact, one of the films in this new series, "Jaws," was also shown last year, and "Raiders" was reissued in the IMAX format for a limited run leading up to the film's Blu-ray debut. But they apparently proved popular enough to return.

"Jaws" will be shown on Sunday, June 2, at 2 p.m., then on Wednesday, June 5, at 2 and 7 p.m.
